About this plant

The classic mild green chile: long, tapered pods six to eight inches, ripening green to red. Heat is gentle, roughly 500 to 2,500 Scoville, with an earthy, grassy flavor that makes it the go-to for roasting, peeling, and stuffing into chiles rellenos. Vigorous plants set heavily and appreciate afternoon shade once temperatures climb.
